The Rev. Eileen O’Brien, Houston Canterbury Missioner
The Rev. Eileen O’Brien serves as the Episcopal Campus Missioner at the University of Houston.  She received her M.Div. cum laude from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2014, with an Honors Thesis in New Testament Studies. In 2003, she received a B.A. in Spanish from Rice University in Houston, TX.  Eileen is bilingual in English and SpanIMG_5512ish, and an avid student of Koine Greek, biblical Hebrew, and Latin.  Check out her blog.

Prior to attending seminary, Eileen served as Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries at St. Alban’s in Waco, Program Manager for an AmeriCorps after-school program for at-risk children in southeast Houston, and Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries at Christ Church Cathedral, Houston.  Most recently she served as the Curate at Christ Church Cathedral, working primarily with the Spanish-speaking community and the Justice and Peace Council.
