Grace Hour at Bohemeo’s is back this Tuesday

Tuesdays, 7-8:30 pm at Bohemeo’s
708 Telephone Rd, Houston 77023

Grace Hour is weekly time to get together with friends just off-campus (near TSU, UH Main, and HCC Central.

This semester, we will start January off with a quick 3-part look at Henri Nouwen’s book, Reaching Out: The Three Movements of the Spiritual Life.  According to Nouwen, “loneliness is one of the most universal sources of human suffering today.”  In an intuitive way, even those of us who are social butterflies know this to be true – that it is entirely possible to be desperately lonely while surrounded by smiling others.

Nouwen argues that the first movement of the spiritual life is a movement from loneliness to solitude.  His work resonates with the writing of other authors from Thomas Merton to Brene Brown.  Join us on Tuesday, January 16, as we seek to reach out by reaching within.
