Mark your calendars.

Join us for a summer movie, The Big Sick (see trailer:http://www.imdb.com/videoplayer/vi3014637849?ref_=sh_ov_vi). Friends are welcome. Houston Canterbury will purchase a block of tickets, so you just need to bring $5 – BUT you also need to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
AMC Dine-in Houston 8, 510 Texas St, 77002
Tuesday, July 18, 7-8:30 pm: Grace Hour at Bohemeo’s: The Monks before the Minimalists
Long before minimalists formulated their protest against consumerism, Christian monastics were teaching the value of simplicity in a church that had been seduced into the wrong kind of kingdom-building. Come hear their subversive and still-challenging voices. We will meet up at Bohemeo’s (708 Telephone Rd Suite E, 77023); dinner is on Canterbury.
Saturday, August 5, 6:30-8:30 pm: East Side Dinner at Padre Pedro and Estela’s House
Before the craziness of the start of school hits, join us for a laid-back dinner on the east side of town at Pedro and Estela’s house (email email@example.com for the address). For incoming freshmen, this is a chance to meet others who are in the same boat, start to form connections, and get ready for the year ahead. Whether you are attending UH, TSU, UHD, San Jacinto College, HCC, or UH Clear Lake, if you are from the southeast Houston area, we hope you will join us.
Other upcoming events:
Saturday, August 12, 6:30-8:30 pm: West Side Dinner, location TBA
Sunday, August 20, 6:30-8:30 pm: The Gathering at St. Luke the Evangelist (3530 Wheeler Ave) kicks off for the school year. The Gathering is a weekly Sunday night student-centered worship service followed by a community dinner with plenty of food to take home.
