Canterbury this Week: May 1-7

Jerusalem

Remember that the Canterbury Suite is a great spot to pray, procrastinate, and study if you are looking for quiet.

Tuesday, May 2, 7:00-8:30 pm
Grace Hour at Bohemeo’s (708 Telephone Rd, Ste E)
During Easter, we are picking up Henri Nouwen’s simple yet profound book, With Burning Hearts. Today, we will take up his chapter, Inviting the Stranger, and we will read a little bonus wisdom from Rowan Williams.

Wednesday, May 3
Common Worship, 12:15-12:50 pm in the Meditation Chapel on the 2nd floor of the Bruce

Technically, there is no FREE lunch, but UCM, Lutheran Campus Ministries and Canterbury will be providing pizza and celebrating our final Common Worship for the semester.

Sunday, May 7, 6:30-8:30 pm
Bread in the Wilderness at St. Luke the Evangelist
Come celebrate with our soon-to-be graduates!  This will be our last evening service of the semester at St. Luke’s, but we look forward to gearing back up for Sunday nights in August.  The Abundant Harvest Food Truck will be serving up a delicious meal and food to take home, so don’t miss out.  As always friends and strangers are welcome.

n.b.  The Rev. Eileen O’Brien will be away from the office on Wednesday for a training in College Station and this weekend for the Cultivate Conference at Camp Allen.  Don’t be afraid to call though.
