Monday, April 24, 12-1 pm
The Journey of the Religious or Spiritual Survivor of Sexual Assault
In the AD Bruce Religion Center Atrium (2nd floor)
The AD Bruce Religion Center, in partnership with UH Wellness, will host a lunch time panel and discussion exploring the intersection of religion/spirituality through the lens of reconciliation and shame.  Our panelists include The Rev. Glenice Robinson-Como of Christ Church Cathedral, Candice Holloway, LCSW, and Imam Daniel Hernandez of the Pearland Islamic Center.  The Rev. Eileen O’Brien and Verna Johnson of  the UH School of Social Work will facilitate a conversation with these panelists within a safe and open setting.

Tuesday, April 25, 7:00-8:30 pm
Grace Hour at Bohemeo’s (708 Telephone Rd, Ste E)
During Easter, we are picking up Henri Nouwen’s simple yet profound book, With Burning Hearts. Last week, we talked about grief and loss. What do we do with loss? This week is all about presence. How do we hear a word of God? How do we see that God has shown up?hqdefault

As I was reading our chapter on discerning the presence of God, it made me think of this scene in Rev. There is this movement from grief to recognition of Jesus in the stranger.
