Holy Week

Palm Sunday, April 9 – Canterbury will kick off Holy Week with a visit from Bishop Doyle.  Join us at St. Luke the Evangelist, 3530 Wheeler, for a Eucharist to bring our whole community together with our bishop.  The service starts at 6:30 pm, and it will be followed by dinner and conversation with Bishop Doyle.

Wednesday, April 12, 12:15-12:45 pm: Common Worship in the Meditation Chapel on the 2nd floor of the AD Bruce.  In anticipation of Maundy Thursday, we will meditate on the Last Supper.

Friday, April 14, 2-5 pm: Stations in the Third Ward
Bring a bike or borrow one as we take the Stations of the Cross on the road in the Third Ward. For details, check out this flyer: Stations of the cross- uh canterbury

Holy Week and Easter are a great time to explore the power and beauty of liturgy and to spend time with family.  On Easter Day, if you don’t plan to go home, join the St. Luke the Evangelist community at 9:30 am, or check out the goings-on at Christ Church Cathedral, St. James, or St. Mark’s Episcopal.  Bread in the Wilderness will not gather on Easter Day.
